Axminster Out of School Club is managed by a qualified manager who has over 11 years experience and is assisted by a deputy playworker  and a small team of staff who will either hold a childcare qualification or have previous childcare experience.  The staff aims to provide care and promote opportunities through child centred play and activities following guidelines and standards which are set by OFSTED.  All staff are required to undertake Criminal Records Bureau checks, and prior to commencement of employment all staff have to supply two verified references. 

Staff are encouraged to undertake ongoing training as appropriate and we aim that at least half the staff hold a first aid qualification.

We work on a ratio of one member of staff for every eight children for the under eights and one member of staff for every ten children over the age of eight.
